So I had the pleasure of watching this film the other day, and I really think it’s one of my favorites already. I think it’s quite a wonder to watch someone come into their own, to see a feature that is so self-assured and confident, to watch something that is funny and emotional, and beautifully realized to boot.
Basically I’m obsessed with Lena Dunham. She writes and directs in a way that has a light touch sort of like Whit Stillman or Nicole Holofcener (Have you seen Barcelona or Friends with Money? So good.)
Anyway, when Tiny Furniture comes out this fall, I hope you check it out.

looks like a really cute film that will leave me feeling equal parts mortified (at my own foibles) and uplifted by the obviously eventual rise of the chunky underdog. unfortunately it will never to where i am. have to catch it if it ever makes it to the torrents or buy it on DVD.
God, I wish that filmmakers would find someway to release/distribute these things beyond America using non-traditional channels. I’m sure there are plenty of people in the rest of the world who would gladly pay and download it.
I do know it got picked up for a video on demand release so at some point you can see it where ever, I imagine. Does Netflix instant work there?
