So I had the pleasure of watching this film the other day, and I really think it’s one of my favorites already.  I think it’s quite a wonder to watch someone come into their own, to see a feature that is so self-assured and confident, to watch something that is funny and emotional, and beautifully realized to boot.

Basically I’m obsessed with Lena Dunham.  She writes and directs in a way that has a light touch sort of like Whit Stillman or Nicole Holofcener (Have you seen Barcelona or Friends with Money? So good.)

Anyway, when Tiny Furniture comes out  this fall, I hope you check it out.

So Charlyne Yi is one of my favorite performers.  Every time I see her, or one of her projects I get really inspired.  She sort of makes anything seem possible.  I just saw her last week at Upright Citizens Brigage, and again it was great.  I like that she mixes performance art with comedy.  Oh, and her movie is pretty great too.  Below is a link to a great interview with her and two links to some of her video work.  Hope you like it.

This video was made by an associate of mine, Casimir Nozkowski, a terrific filmmaker all around.  It’s a great short about stadiums, the Atlantic Yards projects and tax payer money.  What I love about all of Cas’ work is that it is thoughtful and fun at the same time.  Hope you enjoy it.

So it’s old news that Betty White hosted SNL last week.  BUT the NEW news is the campaign to get Carol Burnett to host now using the same facebook tactics (OMG!).   Also, this sketch with Betty White and Tiny Fey is perfect.  Hope you like it!
