Directed this Bug Dust spot with Charlyne Yi and Becky Stark!

So Charlyne Yi and Becky Stark are two of my favorite performers.  I’ve been super into their alternative style of comedy and performance for awhile* so it was a bunch of fun to make this spot for their show.  If you are in LA come on through!

*also if you haven’t seen High School Record or Paper Heart you need to check them out IMMEDIATELY.

Frances Ha: I wanna see this.

This could be terrible, but it seems super up my alley.  Great trailer regardless.

The Island Where People Forgot to Die

Ok, so I may be a little death obsessed.  But I think it’s mostly because I’m life obsessed.  The other day I went with a friend of mine to help her dad move into a retirement community; he know has alzheimers and is unable to care for himself.  After having a parent die fairly young (47) I guess I’ve sort become hyper sensitive to the idea of life, and meaning, and lifespan.  So this article which starts earnestly about a man preparing for the end of his life only to find another chapter really resonates with me.  Hope you like it too:

Office machines make a symphony

This is pretty incredible. Heard about it via NPR while stuck in traffic, when they were recapping this post from The Atlantic. Thanks traffic!

DRUGGGGSSSSZZZZ!

My friend/favorite lead to direct in a feature Ilana Glazer is in this.  There are few things as fun as hanging out with Ilana, but this is a pretty close surrogate.  Also, watch Broad City!  So when it’s all up on Comedy Central you can be like, I was into this a long time ago, nbd.

So now I’m a political comedy director too.

I Directed this series of political pieces with Michael Che for Above Average (comedy web wing of Broadway Video/SNL empressario Lorne Michaels)! Watch and vote!

BITCH TIP!

Genius!

Dope.
